2020.09.17 22:27 DixieMcCall The nex found me.

NC started in 2017 after I realized I didn't owe him polite email responses. Last actual contact was 2013, there was some stalking/menacing for two years or so... always just to the point before it becomes illegal. Changed the number and the address. Healed. Enjoyed life and sanity. Career took me 200 miles away, new town, new life and great love. Absolutely flourishing and feeling safe.
I was texting with my bae when an unknown number dropped a text in: "this is nex. Is this your current address I have something of yours that I need to mail you." Attached was a screenshot of my current address in the search bar of a people finder site..
My stomach hasn't dropped like that in YEARS. Somehow he got my address and phone number!! I resisted the reflex of answering him. It only took a couple deep breaths for me to remember I didn't have to respond.
I blocked that number, changed my number the next day (needed to explain it to my bae, he didn't know any of this) and am trying to decide if I should move, and managing PTSD, feelings of fear and anger (changed number again? I move again because of him? Wtf I love my home etc) and realizing how badly abused I really was. I feel strong too.
He is a sick person and has demonstrated violent tendencies though he always seemed to prefer menacing me from afar after I went NC. I feel like I'm playing with fire the longer I wait to move. On one hand I remember him as broke and lazy but people's motivation levels can change. If he knows where I live he probably knows where I work too. I haven't been staying home. Moving is such a pain in the ass. I don't know if I want advice or suggestions but feel free to leave any here.
Stalking is an intangible violence. I feel violated and angry. Thanks for reading.

2020.09.17 22:08 Instagram_lurker Want to Buy Targeted Instagram Followers? Top Apps to Use!

Want to Buy Targeted Instagram Followers? Top Apps to Use!
Gaining Instagram followers is not an easy job, and that’s why we all want to buy ones. More importantly, you may want to buy just targeted followers for your Instagram. But, why should you buy them when you can do it yourself? Because it’s incredibly time consuming and it can be a rabbit hole if you don’t know the tricks.
Just take a look at Instagress and see what happened to it and its customers. You’ll understand that if you don’t care about your actions or apps providing Instagram services, your account may end up being shadowbanned. So, generally, some questions may come such:
What is the meaning of targeted followers? And what are their advantages? By which criteria you can target your followers? How can you trust an app when it’s not shut down yet? And at last, what are the best (safe and effective) apps to get real and targeted followers?
In this article, we are going to answer these questions. So, fasten your seat belt, please! 🙂
If you are not interested in these details and just want a safe and good service to buy real Instagram followers, use AiGrow. It’s all you want.

What Is the Meaning of Targeted Instagram Followers after all?

A targeted follower is simply a follower whom you target to follow according to your niche believing to be your loyal follower or with reasonable engagement. So, Instead of having many followers who really don’t care about your content, you exactly need these followers. If you run an Instagram business, then it would be far better to have targeted followers who are potential customers.
Imagine your work is about clothes and you follow those who follow #food_lovers. No one says that you can’t have followers from this channel. But you want to have a high rate of the follow-back possibility of those you follow.
So, there are some criteria that your targeted follower should be based on them. The most important one is your niche meaning the category your content is about. There are a lot of factors for targeting your followers. But some of the most important ones are hashtag, location, language, gender, influencer, and your personal competitors.
These details make people just buy Instagram targeted followers, not build them by themselves. That’s where we want to introduce apps or sites in which you can buy targeted followers on Instagram from them.
AiGrow is the best Instagram targeted follower provider you can find. Why? There are many reasons to support this claim such as safety, efficiency, being organic, pricing, and so on. However, we suggest that you start it for free only within 5 minutes, and watch the following video.

Organic Growth Or Buy Targeted Followers

AiGrow asserts that it can bring you real followers who are interested in your products and potentially become your customers. But how? First of all, you need to know that AiGrow doesn’t just give you the option of buying targeted followers on Instagram. AiGrow has a large group of professional account managers who can run your account in the best possible way.
They design your content, follow your targeted followers, like relevant posts, do the commenting, and dm to whom that matters. They dedicated themselves to your account to boost your Instagram at a very fair price.

https://preview.redd.it/mgr95iielrn51.png?width=768&format=png&auto=webp&s=03749811a2b12421f8385cce8ea44fcceafecede
But what’s your role here? You need to inform these account managers to get your Instagram targeted followers instead of directly buying. On the “Growth” dashboard of AiGrow, you can see some elements that can describe your target audience. You should add every hashtag that you think your customers may use, their locations, and the influencers you think they follow. After that, you’d better add your competitors to have their followers for yourself. So, AiGrow lets you put any specific username to its AI input target finder.
You can assure that the targets that AiGrow finds are best for you because it’s 100% smart. Because AiGrow uses a great AI module to find your targets through the mentioned inputs. When you click the “Start Growth” button, your targets emerge less than 1 minute, and it’s amazing.

You can even select the actions that you’d like your account manager to do on your behalf.

Packages & Pricing

When you want to buy Instagram targeted followers, you will face packages with many limitations. One of these restrictions is the number of followers you want to buy. And the prices vary mostly based on this factor. However, with AiGrow, there is no such thing, because it can beyond any limitation that you want with a fixed price. So, AiGrow doesn’t end its services when you reach a specific number of followers, and it’s great.
The only thing that stops AiGrow is the time you want to have it by your side. AiGrow has multiple packages that only Pro-managed ones offer you an account manager. However, the prices of these pro packs vary based on the time you want them. Besides, the more long packs you want, the more discounts happen for you. The good news is that AiGrow offers a 1-USD trial for all packages for a week. It’s a great chance to see how AiGrow works almost without paying.
You can see its pricing as follows.

https://preview.redd.it/czcnlr1wlrn51.png?width=768&format=png&auto=webp&s=5cd424be10de3069cdfa08b9bca14eb20a821ebc

Conclusion: Want to Buy Instagram targeted followers?

No one can tell you what to do or what not to do. All we can do is informing and analyzing. It’s by experiencing years of work on Social media marketing that we say it’s not good to buy a certain amount of followers. Because, they can be real people, but they can’t come in instantly, like your content, and buy your service in the end. Instagram has made it difficult not only for bots but also for tools acting like bot nowadays. Repetitive following, liking, and even unfollowing are dangerous. So, If you want sustainable growth and eventually income, then you’ll need to invest in sustainable activities and tools.

2020.09.17 14:36 lyridsreign [AETHER][MIDGARDSORMR][FC][LFM] JOIN AZURE INFINITUM! An Active, Organized, and Friendly Community Awaits You! Welcoming Players Of All Experience, Availability, & Play-Style!

We are Azure Infinitum .
You may have seen us in the Aether data center's party finder or seen our recruitment shouts around the realm in-game, but there just isn't enough space in those places to really explain everything wonderful about what our Free Company is.
Azure Infinitum is an LGBTQ+ friendly community.
Here's some facts:
Who We Are
We are an established 5-year old community who's home is in Midgardsormr Server of Final Fantasy XIV. We are a structured, well-rounded, welcoming, friendly, and organized community that hosts daily events that provide opportunity for members to excel. We work to establish strong fellowships and camaraderie between our members. As a community we are driven, we carry each other forward, and we are proud.
Azure Infinitum means "Azure/Blue Infinity or Infinite Blue/Azure" and there is some mythos behind the name that stems from our guild-wide philosophy of kindness, freedom, vigilance, diversity and activity. We promote positive fellowship among members in an organized guild, with our sights open to our unending endless skies, full of possibility and success together.
Our motto is "As Free As The Azure Sky!" which stuck well when our FC was restructured from an old guild in 2014 as Azure was founded, and it was first shouted as we looked out at a clear blue sky above. has continued to be our electric victory as we continue to snowball in success and activity, our members soaring high through the Azure Sky, flying together!
Our community has an organized ranking structure beginning with Members who comprise the majority of the roster. Scouts are our support team of Members who've stepped up to more officially support the FC, some work on obtaining a future leadership rank. Lieutenants and Officers comprise the proud Azure Council, a diverse group of players of different specialties and services to the FC, making up lower and higher tier leadership, seeing over the Scouts and the FC weekly events, aside from being admins. The FC Infinitum Master oversees all and leads the Azure Council and the company forward while always keeping the heart and vision of the community alive and in sight. Currently we are re-assessing ranks in the free company, giving more support permissions and duties to our Scouts, while the current council operates as a small team of Lieutenants lead by the FC Master.
Everyone Who's Welcome and Who Fits Best
We have an open door policy. Whether you're casual, a returning player, a veteran, or a newbie, we have a vast array of players in our 320+ member roster. Our weekly schedule is organized and provides an array of activity for players of most levels, however we like to ask players who're pretty new or under lvl.50 to be extra vocal about their needs while they're still unable to attend daily events or higher level content that most of our weekly lineup focuses on. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible and have the most success. We find that most players enjoy Azure Infinitum, many have stated that they subscribed to FFXIV much longer than they ever would have imagined after they have been around and gotten involved and experienced all that we offer.
Our FC keeps a daily schedule of events that are hosted by permitted Scouts and Council ranks, these range from 8-man and 24-man raids and map parties, to WT journal groups and trial clear parties or farms, and more- and attending anything isn't mandatory at all here. We're happy to have you, and its up to our members how much they'd like to get involved.
We find that some hardcore raiders looking for statics who don't already have one, might not fit well if davage raiding is their only focus, because traditionally Azure does not have a Savage Static, but allows members to organize their own groups and also provides resources to do so. Despite not supporting an official static for the FC, we hope that hardcore raiders enjoy the wealth of our community's harmony and overall fun, and may take initiative to seek out or build a raiding static within our community. Depending on the content season, we may have an Unofficial static lead by an leader.
Because we are generally a PG-13 community (for the most part, see Rules Page at (http://azurefm.com), we find that rude individuals and people who create drama are the outsiders here that don't fit well.
People of Azure Infinitum are often positive players who found their way to our community looking for a place with structure, friendliness, organization, and great activity, or they've been scouted during recruitment drives and have been well screened. Its a place where one can be social and attend everything, or relax in the background and enjoy the services and facilities of being in an active, organized, and friendly FC.
Because we keep a no-drama policy and have a strong communication network, it is leadership's ultimate priority to handle any issues that may come up as soon as possible, and most people appreciate our problem solving which has inspired many other communities.
Our Philosophy
First and foremost- we have a no-drama policy. We choose people who agree with the philosophy that, "Video games should be fun and enjoyed together without drama" which is simple really, but anyone who agrees and upholds a decent attitude and respects our guidelines are welcome, and that's the only thing expected- upholding our general rules found at azureinfinitum.com.
We believe in our community and its people, how far we can go, how much we can do for each other, being an experienced community who's core values are positive fellowship, formation of bonds, and indomitable unity.
Azure Infinitum tightly grasps success and masters a casual and lucrative weekly play schedule while inspiring motivation and providing avenues for further success, friendships, and camaraderie among all who freely fly together among our Azure skies.
Founding on the principles of intricately forging a generally drama-free experience with keen leadership and a zealous and mighty membership, Azure has striven to guide and support hundreds through every era of Final Fantasy XIV.
With an illustrious history, company lore, impressive statistics, and a model that is adaptable and blessed with innovative ability, Azure Infinitum claims a dominant presence of excellence and player growth that is possible in our community and extended services.
Estate Organization
We have the entire set-up at our estate, from gardens for members and Krakka Root production (free for members' chocobos), to our stables, nicely uniform clean lawn with hangout spots that are popular, with crafting stations, all available NPCs for simple mats and repairs, cut-scene viewer, toybox, triple-triad board, a fully operational and geared fleet of airships and subs, and our Azure Infinitum Assembly Chamber on the top floor for our meetings where announcements are made at our Grand Assemblies. Check it out if you like at Mist Ward 7 Plot 1.
We also have an organized form of gathering for weekly events in the yard, places to relax, food that is always available on tables at our Cellar, and hold a lot of special events and social games at our Hall. We're also conveniently located next to a Market Board and a Retainer Bell outside of our estate.
Communication and Extended Azure Services
We have multiple services of which none are mandatory, but we provide being (azureinfinitum.com) where our Forums, Event Calendar, guild E-Magazine, News, Company Meeting Summaries, Seasonal Merch Giveaways, Contests, Rules Page, and more take place and can be found. We also have a popular and active Discord Server.
We also have a Facebook Group, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, PS Community, Steam Group, and Linkshells like our Infinitum Alliance LS for contact and aid from our allies if needed, our Azure Hunters LS for Hunters, and our Azure Industry LS which connects our members to our inner crafting/gathering community for newbies to pros.
Also worthy of mention is our big Company Meetings in-game, known as Azure Infinitum Grand Assemblies. Even though we have such nice ways and services that keep people connected, our live assemblies gather the FC in unity where announcements are made first, and all proposals, ideas, and more, can be decided together live with the Azure Council present.
This network ensures a lot of information and communication gets around and has been exceedingly useful to us.
Events
One part of our reputation that often precedes us is our event crafting and hosting.
First, let me make sure its clear that attendance is never mandatory, but those who can make use, when possible, of what we provide each day, benefit from our events each week.
Since our beginning, traditions like our Thursday Treasure Thursdays events have run each week. Our weekly line-up presently begins on Tuesdays post-weekly reset, and consists of Eden Tuesdays, Wondrous Wednesdays (WT Journal Parties, often doubles as Trial Clears and Pony Drops), Treasure Thursdays (timeworn Gazelleskin map parties that raid 24 maps per party and split gil with the FC Chest for our weekly fundraiser, is very lucrative for weekly attendees), 24-Man Fridays (full pre-formed Azure 24-member alliances are made and raids are cleared, returns in Jan for Ivalice Pt.3), Eureka Weekly Meetup (For Anemos, Pagos, and Pyros presently), Alphascape Catchup Sundays (for folks who didn't get their loot all week yet or still need clears), and Monstrous Mondays (helps clear ARR, HW, and SB trials for members.) Friday Morning Classics runs older raid clears and farms every Friday morning.
Special, Custom Seasonal, and Quarterly Events
We also have what we call Special and Quarterly Events. These types of events are Weekend-Long-Events that usually consist of a theme or celebratory social events we craft. During these events we hold big Riddle Races, Costume/Glamour shows and contests, 3-Story Mansion Maze Races, Speedrun Dungeon Races, Hide and Seek games, Custom Quest Events, Discord events like Cards Against Humanity nights, Comedy events, PVP Tournament Circuits, and more.
Our Special and Quarterly events are Azure Day Weekend (Takes place 3 times a year across a weekend, celebrates the FC), Azure Summer Festival (3-days at the end of August in partnership with Child's Play, raises money for children in long-term care, anniversary of historic FC event called the Lunar Rebellion), Anniversary Azure Day (a big weekend event in November that celebrates our Founding), Azure Day Saint's Wake (celebrates Halloween/All Saint's Wake), Azure Starlight Day (celebrating Starlight Day/Christmas/December Holiday Season), Azure Grand Melee and Duel Tournaments (PVP Circuit series crowning our PVP Champions) and more.
Azure Day Weekends
If you've been around our server you may have heard of our Azure Day Weekends. Our Azure Days take place quarterly as mentioned just above, with four evolved editions called Azure Summer Festival, Azure Day Saint's Wake, Azure Starlight Day, and Anniversary Azure Day. With Azure Day Weekends and related events traditionally occuring in February, May, August, October, November, and December, our members are always excited to see the next big weekend of crazy and fun social games, and our showering of the free company in gil and prizes galore. We go all out when we celebrate the free company, and Azure Days are another way we find for leadership to give back to the community.
We're always giving our members a chance to have fun, win big, and make some great memories in the in-game family we've become.
Community
I almost can't stress enough how friendly our community is. We have a vast variety of members from hardcore gatherers and crafters, social butterflies, chill veterans, experienced raiders, level grinders, support teams, PVP aficionados, mechanic specialists, and mentors. We're also very friendly to all casual players as well and we keep an open door so long as recruits are always aware that we have a no-drama tolerance here.

Evolution into a Gaming Clan
Plans are in the works and foundations are being laid that is slowly turning our community into a larger gaming network, with our first established Azure Branch with regular occurring activity being founded in Monster Hunter World. Becoming a member of our Free Company now means access to things like our huge discord, Azure Branch membership in other games, and being able to join in on any of our other activities in the general community. Azure Network as its being called at the moment, launches in 2020 with an all-new website and community features for playing together across Final Fantasy XIV and to Azure Skies beyond.
Our current Branch activity includes weekly Monster Hunter World (PS4) "Hunt-A-Thon" events occuring every Monday at 7e/6c/4p.

Activity
We rank high as one of the top FC's in Worldwide Activity on lodestone, and have for a long time. Most of our players are divided between the US East and West Coasts, members in East and West Canada, and a few outside the US or in EU or Aus zones. Because we do have an activity policy (mentioned below) we keep a standard flow of people, and have crowds in the early morning, late morning, early afternoon, afternoon, evening, and late night crowds.
Our community really can be a broad range of characters, great personalities, the proud, and also some silly goofs. We're always welcoming towards fresh faces interested in joining our guild, and the activity ranges between 30-50+ online at once during prime time hours, sometimes around 70+ on patch days, and usually always with half the roster logging in throughout a 24 hour period, and around 15-30+ during the night.
Activity Policy
We ask that our members do not go missing without logging in for more than 60 days straight. If we hear word from someone or have some kind of excuse, we place our members on our On Vacation rank, which lasts presently until 180 days have passed. Exceptions are made for military deployments, hospital stays, financial issues, disability/health related issues, moving, or other reasons that might fall on a case-by-case basis.
All members not heard from in 60 days (roughly 2 months) or currently 180 days (roughly 4 months) are discharged. We allow 3 joins to Azure Infinitum in total, but exceptions can be made due to reasons listed above.
Keeping our roster full of members who have been online and presently play the game actively ensures an active environment for our players who play often. It also keeps our credits and clerical processes balanced across our network, and allows space for new faces to join our big happy in-game family of comrades.
Check out our [Website](azureinfinitum.com) if you'd like to get an idea of our community. Also if interested our [rules](azurefm.com/pages/rules) is here.

2020.09.17 04:50 Vanilla-Ice-Fan Best resources to find roommates

Friend and I just graduated and were looking for a third roommate for a townhouse in Reston. We’ve had trouble finding potential roommates online through Facebook groups and we’re wondering if there are other resources used to find potential roommates.
I’ve seen ads for roommate finder sites but from what I’ve seen it seems like they aren’t used by enough people to be useful.
Are Facebook groups are the best resource or if there are other ones we haven’t been using?

2020.09.16 03:32 fmdmlvr How can I find a fuckbuddy?

Hi there! I’m 27M living in the US (for context). I’m trying to find a fuckbuddy but I’m having absolutely no luck. I’ve tried tinder, bumble, okcupid, adult friend finder, kinkoo, etc and nothing seems to work. In fact some of those sites have way more scammers than profiles of people looking for one. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do differently? Am I just that ugly?

2020.09.15 06:07 CrazyPlato Things You Should Know About: The Rogue Class

Hey all,
I'm trying to start a series of articles about different topics in D&D and similar RPGs. Specifically, I want to bring some context to terms that have become really common in these kinds of stories, but it feels like we might not know much about in reality (words like paladin, monk, lock-picking, pirate, barbarian, etc). And while I'm at it, I have a number of thoughts about a lot of these topics which I would bring to my players to shape how they view their characters and the setting they're playing in.
Quick shoutout, but a lot of my inspiration for this stuff comes from Gm Word of the Week. It's a podcast I've been listening to for a few years now, and it's full of insightful stuff like this from Fiddleback. And if you want to branch out from that, one of the collaborators on the early episodes of that podcast is The Angry GM, who writes a lot of articles on the subject of playing D&D. I'll probably get my research from other sources, but I already know that a lot of the stuff I bring up will come from these guys, so I figure I'll go ahead and source them (plus, if you aren't already checking their stuff out, they're pretty great even after several years of content).
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This time, we're going to talk about the rogue class, and what they're all about.
The Rogue in 5e
The 5e PHB has this to say about rogues (Please be aware, this quote comes from the Rogue page on DnD Beyond, a free recourse provided by Wizards of the Coast):
Signaling for her companions to wait, a halfling creeps forward through the dungeon hall. She presses an ear to the door, then pulls out a set of tools and picks the lock in the blink of an eye. Then she disappears into the shadows as her fighter friend moves forward to kick the door open.
A human lurks in the shadows of an alley while his accomplice prepares for her part in the ambush. When their target — a notorious slaver — passes the alleyway, the accomplice cries out, the slaver comes to investigate, and the assassin’s blade cuts his throat before he can make a sound.
Suppressing a giggle, a gnome waggles her fingers and magically lifts the key ring from the guard’s belt. In a moment, the keys are in her hand, the cell door is open, and she and her companions are free to make their escape.>>Rogues rely on skill, stealth, and their foes’ vulnerabilities to get the upper hand in any situation. They have a knack for finding the solution to just about any problem, demonstrating a resourcefulness and versatility that is the cornerstone of any successful adventuring party.
Skill and Precision
Rogues devote as much effort to mastering the use of a variety of skills as they do to perfecting their combat abilities, giving them a broad expertise that few other characters can match. Many rogues focus on stealth and deception, while others refine the skills that help them in a dungeon environment, such as climbing, finding and disarming traps, and opening locks.
When it comes to combat, rogues prioritize cunning over brute strength. A rogue would rather make one precise strike, placing it exactly where the attack will hurt the target most, than wear an opponent down with a barrage of attacks. Rogues have an almost supernatural knack for avoiding danger, and a few learn magical tricks to supplement their other abilities.
A Shady Living
Every town and city has its share of rogues. Most of them live up to the worst stereotypes of the class, making a living as burglars, assassins, cutpurses, and con artists. Often, these scoundrels are organized into thieves’ guilds or crime families. Plenty of rogues operate independently, but even they sometimes recruit apprentices to help them in their scams and heists. A few rogues make an honest living as locksmiths, investigators, or exterminators, which can be a dangerous job in a world where dire rats—and wererats—haunt the sewers.
As adventurers, rogues fall on both sides of the law. Some are hardened criminals who decide to seek their fortune in treasure hoards, while others take up a life of adventure to escape from the law. Some have learned and perfected their skills with the explicit purpose of infiltrating ancient ruins and hidden crypts in search of treasure.
Mechanically, rogues in this edition have the following traits and abilities:
Other Editions of D&D
The rogue was originally introduced to the game in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons as the thief class. Thieves gained new levels the swiftest of the core classes in that game, and they had access to skills such as Open Locks and Move Silently, which would become staples for the class. These skills started with a low chance of success that was rolled as a flat percentage (with no skill modifiers or bonuses), and took several levels to increase the odds of success to a more practical chance. The thief also had the abilities to hear noises, hide in the shadows, and climb walls. The thief had access to the Thieves' Cant language. They also got an early form of sneak attack, then called backstab, which dealt double damage but required the target be attacked from behind and that they be unaware of the attack.
While they were not a part of the original Basic Dungeons & Dragons set in 1974, the thief was later added to the basic set as well. The thief in this version gained new abilities at higher levels, such as the ability to read any language and the ability to cast spells from magic scrolls.
AD&D introduced the assassin sub-class to the thief. While the thief focused more on a variety of skills relevant to a dungeon-delving adventurer, the assassin focused largely on combat effectiveness. The assassin gained a "death strike" which instantly killed an unaware target on a successful hit. They also gained the ability to use poisons, and could learn certain arcane spells such as disguise self and true strike.
In 2nd edition, the thief was added to a category of classes known as the Rogues group, which also included the bard class. The rogue classes were described as those "living by their wits day to day-often at the expense of others". The assassin was removed from the game at this point, on the belief that a thief could be built with the skills necessary to imitate the assassin class. 2nd edition thieves could specialize in some skills, allowing them to master those skills quickly compared to other classes. They were given strengths in stealth, disarming traps, and "acquiring goods" in various ways.
At 3rd edition, the class officially became the rogue instead of the thief. The class retained its aptitude for skills, its ability to notice traps, and the sneak attack ability. Rogues gained the most skill points per level of any class in the edition, which was balanced somewhat by the use of the Intelligence skill to determine the number of skill points: rogues got the most as a base number, but a particularly intelligent character of any class could get close to that number. Rogues did retain a broad range of skills that they could spend their points into, and the flat percentage rates of the older editions were done away with in favor of using skill ranks and bonuses for any skill check. Sneak attacks now were dealt to any target who did not use their dexterity bonus to their AC during the attack (which could be cause by the enemy being prone, blinded, flanked, or flat-footed, and other effects). The rules also defined that the target creature had to be able to take critical hits in in order to deal sneak attack damage (meaning that certain monsters, such as golems, were immune to the ability).

Rogues in Historical Context
The rogue is going to be a bit of a doozy when we talk about historical context, because the class appears to be a catch-all term for a variety of criminals, specialists, and anybody who lives by their wits or by approaching problems in a less-than-straightforward manner. A rogue could be a thief, picking pockets or otherwise stealing property from others. They could be a burglar, breaking into people's homes to steal from them. They could be a highwayman, ambushing people on roadways to rob them. They might be a charlatan or a huckster, committing fraud to convince people to give them their money. They might be a smuggler, transporting goods and people through areas where such goods, or such transport, is illegal.
Another profession that is covered by the rogue class is the assassin. While "contract killing" may be included in this crime, assassination specifically is defined as targeting prominent figures of a society, such as a government or political official, or a popular public figure. While assassinations have happened throughout history, one of the more significant figures in this definition would be the Persian Order of Assassins, or Hashashins, who operated in the Middle East in the years 1090 to 1275, and for whom the term is named. The order's name is believed to have come from a drug of choice which their members indulged in: hashish, made from the resin or oil of the cannabis plant. The order was known for a strict code to which they conducted their business: they forbade the killing of innocents in the process of fulfilling a contract, and they killed their targets in a very public manner, to demonstrate the power of the order. They were known for their skill at reaching people under high security by carefully learning the culture of the target and their community, and slowly entering that community in disguise. The order's methods and details were highly secret, with most of our historical knowledge of the group coming from second-hand sources and rumors. Much of the order's history has been used in modern times as inspiration for the first Assassin's Creed title of video games.
Piracy, as well as privateering, is an act of robbery carried out by the crew of a ship. It can include attacking other ships on the water, or a coastal raid in which the crew attacks a land-based settlement on the coast. While pirates have existed as far back as the 14th century BCE, pirates are most well known for the pirates of the Caribbean Sea, who operates during the 17th and early 18th centuries. This group of criminals largely started as privateers, professional pirates who were hired by heads of state to raid the ships of rival nations. Because North and South America had been discovered by Europe the century prior, and because the Spanish empire had demonstrated the large amounts of wealth which could be acquired in those continents, much of the activity of these privateers was directed at trade ships bringing goods to and from the Americas. After the wars under which the privateers were hired had ended, many found that their license to commit piracy had been revoked. Nonetheless, these men chose to continue their trade as proper pirates, raiding the same channels with less concern who whom they attacked.
There are also options for the rogue who are not centered on law-breaking. A rogue could be a spy, who acquires secret and hidden information and brings it to their employer for coin or out of national duty. They can be a detective, using their skills with people, stealth, and perception to solve mysteries professionally. They might be a treasure-hunter, using their knowledge of traps and their quick wits to plunder ancient ruins for gold and historical artifacts.
An Aside about Locks and Thieve's Tools
Rogues are generally expected to carry a set of thieve's tools with them for opening locks, disabling traps, and other purposes related to entering areas what someone wanted them not to. To understand what these kinds of tool sets would contain, we need to talk a bit about how locks work throughout history.
For most of human history, locks were actually not very common. Locks are a fairly complex mechanism to produce, and for a number of reasons they were either too expensive or too easy to bypass for people to trust them. As a result, the most common security measure was a simple barricade, a plank of wood across the door or some other obstruction. While this was a simple way to prevent someone from opening the door, any tool that could manipulate the board could bypass the obstruction.
Ward locks are one of the oldest lock designs, going back to ancient China and Rome. Because they were fairly simple to construct, they were the more popular lock used during the Dark and Middle Ages. The core of the lock is often a bolt, which would slide between the door and its frame, or in a padlock a piece of material would prevent the bolt of the lock from releasing. A set of obstructions are constructed in the inner workings of the lock, which would prevent a tool from simply turning the mechanism that moves the bolt. A specific key would be made, with a set of grooves meant to allow it to bypass the obstructions, so that it could turn in the lock and open it.
A common tool used by thieves to bypass these locks is the skeleton key. These keys have been filed down, so that they have enough of a protrusion to manipulate the lock mechanism, but the protrusions are small enough that they weren't stopped by the obstructions inside the lock. A thief may have several of these skeleton keys, meant for different locks.
Pin locks are an advancement on lock design. While they are still use din the modern age, and while the technology is fairly advanced compared to a ward lock, evidence has been found that pin locks have existed as far back as ancient Egypt and Iraq, made of wood at the time. The basic design is that the lock's mechanism is obstructed by a series of small pins, which each hang inside of a tube inside the lock. Normally, gravity pulled the pins down in between the bolt and the door frame, holding the two together. Similar to the ward lock, a key to this kind of lock has a series of elevated grooves etched into them. When the key is inserted, the grooves press the pins upward at varied levels, enough that all of the pins are cleared and the mechanism can move freely. This mechanism was uncommon in history largely because of the limits of metalworking: the moving parts in the lock are small, and needed to be able to move freely. And metalworking techniques from the ancient era were imprecise enough that most metal parts would have some kind o defect that could prevent the lock from working properly.
Lock picks usually were used with two separate tools in tandem. First, the actual pick is designed to fit into the groove of the lock, where the key would go. The thin end of the pick is used to individually press the pins up into their housing, and away from the lock mechanism. Second, a sturdy flat tool called a torsion wrench is used to hold the mechanism in place, preventing the pins from falling back into their grooves once the pick is pulled away. A thief would be skilled at manipulating these pins quickly, so that they can bypass a lock within minutes and avoid being caught at the door.
Because ward locks were easier to make, and because ward locks were still easy to bypass, many locksmiths built the locks in places which were concealed. For example, a lockbox may have a false lock on the front of the container, which was connected to nothing. At the bottom of the box, hidden under a false foot of the box or behind a sliding panel, the actual lock would be out of sight so that only the owner of the box would know how to open it.
Traps, on the other hand, are designed to capture, maim, or kill intruders. Early traps were used in the neolithic era by hunters to catch animals. Traps were rarely used with the intention of capturing other humans, and these traps were often larger versions of animal traps. Simple traps were often held in place by a length of cord or wire, so that when an unsuspecting target walked into the wire they would release the trap. Pressure plates were another common triggering mechanism. When the trap is released, it may release a weapon such as a crossbow, or it may release a larger structure such as a net or cage, or a deadfall such as a falling tree trunk or boulder.
A thief would carry a set of tools for bypassing many security measures. Often in a tool roll made of cloth of leather, the tool set would have a variety of lockpicks for pin locks, as well as several skeleton keys to bypass ward locks. The tool set may also contain a small mallet, to tap against the structure for hollow chambers containing a hidden lock. For bypassing traps, the kit may contain a set of tools to cut and obstruct a tripwire without releasing the trap, and to remove and disable a pressure plate. In a fantasy setting, we may also include tools designed to bypass magical traps, such as a chisel to obscure magical spellwork etched into a wall.
Thieves' Cant
The language known as the "thieves' cant" was developed as a way for thieves to communicate with one another in public, without alerting others to the fact that they were discussing crime. The language largely worked by simple substitution: certain words are replaced with other words which the speakers understand to have a new meaning. For example, "night" might be replaced by "darkmans", and "church" may be replaced with "autem". Using a string of these substitutions, a thief may explain a plan to enter a certain building at a certain time, without others aware unless they themselves had learned the substitutions. While all participants were still speaking a more common language, technically, the use of words would seem foreign to non-users, like a strange dialect.
The thieves' cant would also contain a list of symbols, which were left in public areas by other thieves to mark a significant feature, such as an entryway into a building, a fence for stolen goods, a safe place to hide from police, or a location commonly patrolled by authorities.
Many figures in history have published books that they professed contained a secret thieves' cant in their area, which buyers would purchase so that they could learn if a thief were discussing their plans around them. It is uncertain if these works were ever based in fact, as is whether the words listed were actual substitutions used by real thieves.
References for Rogues
Because rogues cover a wide range of professions, it can be difficult to narrow it down to a list of characters to reference for this particular class. However, we know that we're looking at characters who can be charismatic and witty, who can use tools to overcome situations, and who have a tendency towards illegal behaviors.
For a real-world personality that's a classic rogue, take a look at Frank Abagnale, whose story was played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film Catch Me If You Can. Running away from home at a young age, Abagnale survived mainly through a series of acts of fraud and forgery. He assumed the identities of a Pan American airline pilot, a teaching assistant at Brigham Young University, the chief resident assistant at a hospital in Georgia, and a Louisiana attorney. In the meantime, he supported himself financially by developing a number of methods of theft and bank fraud. After six years, Abagnale was caught in Montpelier, France. After eventually returning to America and serving a part of his sentence in prison, he was eventually released him conditionally to serve as a consultant with federal authorities, as an expert on con artists and fraud.
For a reference that's a bit direct, you can take a look at the Thief series of video games, particularly Thief 3: Deadly Shadows and the later remake, Thief. The protagonist, Garrett, is an expert thief who uses many classic techniques to enter homes, open locks, and steal valuables by the cover of night.
I recommend a look at the John Wick movies for a view of the assassin sub-class. In particular, the movies display a rich criminal underworld society, filled with secret locations, communications, and traditions that other assassins know and use to communicate with one another. For GMs with a rogue character, you may use these films as inspiration to build a thieves' guild in your setting, or to establish NPCs related to the rogue's backstory.
As mentioned in the historical context section, you can also look to the Assassin's Creed video games to learn more about assassins. Particularly, the first game, as well as the Ezio trilogy, are highly-rated games that explore the techniques of stealth, infiltration, and discreet killing that an assassin would need to know. The sixth title in the series, Black Flag, also sheds some light on the life of a pirate in the Caribbean Sea.
You can look at the story of Aladdin as an example of a rogue's backstory. The title character does not have much of a backstory, except that he is a street urchin who grew up homeless and without a family. We see him stealing to survive for much of the beginning of the story. As the story progresses, we see the character using his wits and charm to rise in influence and eventually marry the princess of the sultanate that he lives in.
Loki, from the Marvel superhero movies, is an excellent example of a rogue. He has some access to illusion magic, but much of his abilities come from his natural charisma and wily intellect. Loki understands how to manipulate people, how to blend in when he needs to, and how to hit his opponents where they are weakest.
A more classic example of the rogue is The Scarlet Pimpernel. This play, written in the 1900s, follows the story of the title character, an infamous scoundrel who rescues aristocrats sentenced to the guillotine during the French Revolution. The Pimpernel is an expert at infiltration, disguise, escape, and swordsmanship.
To lend some credence to the idea of a non-criminal rogue, lets also mention Indiana Jones. The famous treasure hunter has many skills in the rogue’s playbook: a knowledge of traps and ways around them, creative use of tools such as sandbags and his bull whip to overcome obstacles, a tendency to wear disguises to avoid enemies, and a winning personality that people find charming. But Indy is explicitly against raiding historical sites for wealth: he collects treasures for their historical value, and gives them to the scientific community for study (albeit with a finder’s fee).

Questions for a Rogue Character
If you are building a rogue character, or if you're a GM with a player rolling a rogue, you may want to consider these questions:
EDIT: Based on comments from several redditors, I tried to cut away some of the excessive rambling in the Historical Context section of this article, and I tried to re-contextualize the rogue to shine more light on the non-criminal possibilities this class can provide.

2020.09.14 05:47 Layla-Janet How Google Works

How Google Works

The Google search engine remains the cornerstone of just about everything the company does.
The Google Search Engine
As large as Google has grown, as many changes as it has seen, its primary purpose is still clear: To help users find what they want on the internet. And that's where Google's search engine shines.
Pandu Nayak has been with the company for more than 14 years and is now the vice president for search.
"One kind of primary thing that has not changed, in those 14 years, which I value tremendously, is this idea that we built search for users, we built search because people come to Google for things that matter in their lives," Nayak says. "[It] is our deep, deep responsibility to give them great results, great answers great experiences, and help them go about their lives more effectively.
"This focus, which really goes back to the mission statement ... is still one that drives us through all of these changes."
Google's search engine is a powerful tool, but the internet is a big place. It's sometimes hard to find on google.com what you're looking for . Nayak and many others throughout the company work with the idea that getting you what you're after — figuring out what you want — is their responsibility, no matter what you type into the search bar. They study language and intent, incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence and note every search that is undertaken, all in an effort to make it easier on the user.
It started years ago, and continues today, as the Google search engine has learned the difference between, say, Penélope Cruz and the Chevy Cruze, as it's figured out that in some cases, people use the word "change" and "convert" for the same action.
Nayak has gone through the implementation of spell correction, and the synonym finder, and universal search, which gives users not only web pages that they may be looking for, but photos, videos and more.
When he joined the company, he (like many others) thought Google worked astoundingly well. But as expectations for the search engine — and the company — have grown, expectations have changed. Or converted.
"Nobody, absolutely nobody comes and tells me that, 'Oh, you know the other day, I did a search and, you know, it worked really well,'" Nayak says with a laugh. "No one says that.
"Our endeavour is that you don't need any special expertise in searching. We want to be able to find ways to understand what it is you're looking for ..."
All that said, Google can help narrow down what you're looking for with specialized searches. You can browse through different categories that pertain to your keywords, including:
  • Images
  • Maps
  • News articles or video footage
  • Products or services you can purchase online
  • Content in books
  • Videos
  • Scholarly papers
For example, if you search for the term "Planet Earth" in the news category, the results will include only news articles that contain those keywords. The results will look very different from Google's normal SERP.
Like all search engines, Google uses a special algorithm to determine its search results. While Google shares some facts about its algorithm, the specifics are a company secret. This helps Google remain competitive with other search engines and reduces the chance of someone finding out how to abuse the system.
Google uses automated programs called spiders or crawlers, just like most search engines, to help generate its search results. Google has a large index of keywords that help determine search results. What sets Google apart is how it ranks its results, which determines the order Google displays results on its search engine results pages. Google uses a trademarked algorithm called PageRank, which assigns each Web page a relevancy score.
A Web page's PageRank depends on a few factors:
  • The frequency and location of keywords within the Web page: If the keyword appears only once within the body of a page, it will receive a low score for that keyword.
  • How long the Web page has existed: People create new Web pages every day, and not all of them stick around for long. Google places more value on pages with an established history.
  • The number of other Web pages that link to the page in question: Google looks at how many Web pages link to a particular site to determine its relevance.
Out of these three factors, the third is the most important. Because Google looks at links to a Web page as a vote, it's not easy to cheat the system. The best way to make sure your Web page is high on Google's search results is to provide great content so that other sites will link to your page. The more links your page gets, the higher its PageRank score will be. If you attract the attention of sites with a high PageRank score, your score will grow faster.

I'm working with a client who would like to send an offer to provide low cost health care to people who have been laid off or furloughed. I have a list of names, their previous company, and email addresses but I need home addresses to send physical postcards.
How would you process a list of 3K? Are there any companies that do this?

2020.09.13 14:15 lyridsreign [AETHER][MIDGARDSORMR][FC][LFM] JOIN AZURE INFINITUM!

2020.09.12 18:25 mb2canalseeker JUST THE POEM AND A MAP (No Books or Specialized Knowledge Required)

THE POEM SOLUTION (THE CHEST LOCATION)
· Began the chase in June 2019
· Solved the poem on 09/11/2019
· Emailed solution to Fenn on 10/04/2019
· Went BOTG on 10/11/2019, but turned back due to trespassing laws
· Emailed solution to Cowlazars and Kpro on 10/15/2019
· Reached out to landowner, Michael Hogg, in late 2019 who initially expressed interest, but later became unresponsive
· Decided to take the risk and planned to go BOTG on 05/29/2020 (would've planned to go sooner, but WY quarantine laws were in effect until early May and my search partner and I wanted to make sure the weather wouldn't be a factor), but search partner’s flight was cancelled due to COVID
· Rescheduled our flights for 07/17/2020, but chest was found
· Posted the solution on several FF FB pages in June 2020 under Susan Stanners (alias)
Preamble
FF has stated that there are 9 clues in the poem and that all one needs to find the chest location is the poem and a good map. These are indeed true. The poem takes you to a spot about 0.25 acre in size. You need to be BOTG to identify a likely second blaze (likely a marked tree) which will lead you right to the chest. The solution includes 9 named geographic locations. In order to arrive at the solution, you follow the directives given in the poem. Each directive is mostly used two-fold: 1) to work in the poem, and 2) to follow clues on a map. FF said that the first clue is WWWH so the poem must tell you where that must be. And with that, the solution…
Stanza 1
There are no directives in this stanza. FF was quoted as saying, “Many are giving serious thought to the clues in my poem, but only a few are in tight focus with a word that it key. The treasure may be discovered sooner than I anticipated.” FF craftily gave the keyword in plain sight. The “treasure” mentioned in the quote has a double meaning: the chest itself and the keyword. What FF said about the “word that is key” (keyword) and first clue is true. You need the keyword to “unlock” or solve the first clue which FF has said is WWWH. The purpose of stanza 1 is to hint at the keyword which is “treasure” since it is “bold”. Why “treasure” and not “treasures”? The second stanza’s “it” refers to the keyword which is singular, therefore, “it” is “treasure” and not “treasures”.
Stanza 2
“Begin it where warm waters halt”
This is a directive. As FF has stated, this is indeed the first clue and is crucial to proceeding. Since the line instructs the reader to “begin”, you must work in the poem AND the map.
POEM: The “it” in “Begin it where warm waters halt” refers to the keyword “treasure”. After all, “treasure” is being described in the preceding stanza. You must then grid the poem, use the word “treasure”, and take it down starting from the “t” in “halt”.
● This is not new. Sam Smith is the searcher who solved this portion of the poem.
● FF was quoted as saying that he was “limited by my ability” when asked about your choice of using the word “halt”. He was limited by using a word that ends with “t” to accommodate the “t” in “treasure”.
MAP: This will come later as I complete the instructions in stanza 2.
“And take it in the canyon down.”
This is a continuation of the directive since there is no period after WWWH.
POEM: After beginning the word “treasure” with the “t” in “halt”, you take the rest of the word “treasure” (“reasure”) down in the poem. However, you must start at or “put in” below the home of Brown which is the first line of stanza 3. You then shift the subsequent lines, a la a cryptex, until the word “treasure” appears downward in the poem starting from “halt” (Figure 1). The message that is generated after taking the word “treasure” down is: try the wheel wy which refers to Big Horn Medicine Wheel in Wyoming (Figure 2, Google Earth).
● Again, Sam Smith is the searcher who solved this portion of the poem.
● Shifting the lines is not messing with the poem as all words, spaces, and punctuation are preserved. After all, FF did say he “felt like an architect drawing that poem”. He also said to “get back in the box” hinting at the grid.
● “There’ll be no paddle up your creek,” instructs you not to use this line.
● The Big Horn Medicine Wheel is where you can find WWWH, but it is not the literal WWWH. So what is the literal WWWH? Many have given up on Big Horn Medicine Wheel as the starting point because they failed to link a literal WWWH to it. However, this is in fact, the correct starting point. WWWH refers to Five Springs Creek (springs = waters) which ends (halts) northerly in the Five Springs Basin directly SE of the wheel. Literal WWWH = the northerly terminus of Five Springs Creek (1st clue, Figure 3, Google Earth).
● How do you know Five Springs Creek is warm? Page 189 of the geological survey, “Thermal Springs in the United States”, published by the United States Department of the Interior, records the water temperature of Five Springs Creek as being “warm” (boxed in Figure 4). Further, Five Springs Creek is described as being “several springs” which is why the creek is “waters” and not water. These observations CONFIRM that Big Horn Medicine Wheel, WY is the correct starting point. FF likely referenced this survey to coin the phrase WWWH.
MAP: So from Big Horn Medicine Wheel, there are several “canyons” you can go down. Which one? Where to go from here?
“Not far, but too far to walk.”
This is not a directive. However, it does tell you where to go from the wheel. You must use the Big Horn Medicine Wheel as a compass. Using true north as 0 degrees, the search continues in the direction of 242 degrees (or 242°) which is SW (Figure 5, Google Earth). Use Google Earth to draw a line from the center of the wheel in this direction. Following this line takes you down Five Springs Basin (canyon) to the home of Brown (Figure 6, Google Earth). Five Springs Basin = canyon down (2nd clue).
● FF uses many synonyms for the words in the poem with canyon being one of them. One synonym for canyon is basin.
● One can contend that 0 degrees is the mathematical 0 degrees which is true west. However, as seen at the 5:30 mark in this video FF describes north as being 270 to 0 to 90 degrees indicating that true north is 0 degrees: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StlJL10sgCs
● One can argue that you continue in the direction of 24° and not 242°. However, this path takes you away from the Rocky Mountains and the search area.
● FF said that searchers have correctly guessed the first two clues, i.e. Five Springs Creek and Five Springs Basin.
“Put in below the home of Brown.”
This is a directive. So where is the home of Brown? You are not exactly told how far to go…only that it is too far to walk.
POEM: This line was already used to solve for WWWH.
MAP: To locate the home of Brown, you follow the 242° line (zooming in and out on Google Earth) until you reach the first landmark: Hoodoo Ranch, i.e. marrying the map to the poem (Figure 7, Google Earth). hoB = Hoodoo Ranch (3rd clue).
The home of Brown is a namesake to George Brown (http://www.codyenterprise.com/news/people/article_d588dfe2-2089-11e3-b43a-0019bb2963f4.html). George Brown was a Cody legend and a friend of FF. He was the same age as FF and passed away in 2013. He was a live-in manager at Hoodoo Ranch for over 40 years and has a great-grandson named Forrest.
● But didn’t FF say that “no specialized knowledge is required”? Yes, but you did not need to know anything about George Brown before choosing Hoodoo Ranch as the hoB. Hoodoo Ranch was chosen as a possible hoB since it was the first location that fell in the path of the 242° line drawn from the wheel. Hoodoo Ranch is confirmed as the hoB using the subsequent clues in Stanza 3. I researched Hoodoo Ranch only after confirmation.
● Didn’t FF also say that “the treasure is not associated with any structure”? Yes, but technically, a ranch is not a structure.
Stanza 3
“From there it’s no place for the meek, The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek, Just heavy loads and water high.”
Stanza 3 does not include a directive…it never tells you to do anything. The entire stanza is descriptive and used to confirm the hoB. “From there” refers to “From the hoB” or in other words, “From the hoB, you’ll see…”. Lines 1 and 2 and lines 3 and 4 are separated by a semi-colon because lines 1 and 2/lines 3 and 4 each represent a slash mark of an “X” (as in “X” marks the spot”…“X” marks the location of hoB, not the chest location).
“X” Slash 1
The beginning of “X” Slash 1 is No place for the meek = Monster Lake Ranch (4th clue, and yes, the same ranch that Kanye West purchased in late 2019). The end is ever drawing nigh – “the end” refers to the end of “X” Slash 1 and “ever drawing nigh” refers to the line of evergreen trees or vegetation that travels SW or left (nigh) from Monster Lake Ranch (Figure 8).
“X” Slash 2
The beginning of “X” Slash 2 is There’ll be no paddle up your creek = Dry Creek (5th clue). Just heavy loads and water high – “just heavy loads” refers to the quarries near Cody which include Pat O'Hara Gypsum Quarry Number One and Big Horn Gypsum Company Quarry, and “water high” refers to Buffalo Bill Reservoir (6th clue, high = north of Dry Creek) (Figure 9). The quarries are not considered 1 of the 9 clues since the poem is referring to multiple quarries. This is different than WWWH where a singular creek is described as “waters”.
Stanza 4
“If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,”
This is not a directive. “If you’ve been wise” refers to Sage Creek that runs along “X” Slash 1 (zoom in on “X” Slash 1 on Google Earth to find Sage Creek); “and found the blaze” refers to the white/yellow mountain crest that is “X” Slash 2 (Wyoming BLM map calls this Cedar Ridge). So basically this essentially means “If you’ve found the ‘X’” (Figure 10) – If you’ve been wise = Sage Creek (7th clue) and found the blaze = Cedar Ridge (8th clue). Many searchers have mistakenly concluded that the blaze is the last clue. However, it is only the 8th clue.
“Look quickly down, your quest to cease.”
“Look quickly down” is a directive.
POEM: “Look quickly down” refers to looking down at Stanza 5.
MAP: “Look quickly down” refers to look directly (quickly) south (down) from the hoB. Going south, you find Rush (quickly) Creek. “Your quest to cease” refers to the quest of finding two C’s (“to cease” or ΩΩ). Look quickly down = Rush Creek (9th clue).
● Google Earth identifies this creek as Rush Creek. However, MapQuest identifies it as Short Fork Meeteetse Creek. In this regard, Mapquest is not a “good” map.
“But tarry scant with marvel gaze,”
This is a directive.
POEM 1: “Tarry scant with marvel gaze” has two uses in the poem. First, as what most searchers think, it means not to delay. So after looking quickly down at Stanza 5, the poem is telling you not to delay in the stanza, i.e. don’t spend any time there since there are no clues. However, you will need Stanza 5 to work “Just take the chest and go in peace” (see below).
POEM 2: The second use of “tarry scant with marvel gaze” focuses on the word “tarry”. Synonym for the word “tarry” include scramble, jumble, or shuffle. So you tarry or shuffle the words “scant with marvel gaze” in the poem as shown in Figure 11. Note: The message only appears if the word “marvel” ends up as the last word (Figure 11).
MAP: Related to POEM 1, you need to just take the chest and get the hell out of there since the chest is located on private property (this will be revealed later).
“Just take the chest and go in peace.”
This is a directive.
POEM: It’s been established that you’re not supposed to spend any time working on Stanza 5. The only thing the poem tells you to do with stanza 5 is “just take the chest and go in peace”. This sounds familiar because a similar instruction was given with the word “treasure”. This is one of the reasons why FF said that the poem gets easier after WWWH. In this instance, you begin the word “chest” at the “c” in peace and take it down in stanza 5 (Figure 11). So the only function of stanza 5 is to reveal the message once you go in peace with the word “chest”.
The message that is generated after taking the word “chest” down is: hole at eye. So you know that from “Look quickly down”, the next location is Rush Creek, but the creek is over 5 miles long. The message is telling you the chest location is at a valley (hole as in Jackson Hole) in the middle (eye) of the creek. If you search Rush Creek, WY, USA in Google Earth, it’ll zoom in on the creek with two pins labeled Rush Creek. Located near the middle of these pins is a valley that comes from the north bisecting Rush Creek. If you zoom in on this junction, you’ll see this (the chest location, Figure 12, Google Earth). Also, the chest location is quickly down (directly south) of the hoB (Figure 13, Google Earth).
Stanza 5
Nothing. This stanza exists just to work the word “chest”.
Stanza 6
“So hear me all and listen good,”
This is a directive, but the only one that doesn’t involve working in the poem or on the map. The line is meant to confirm the chest location. The words “hear” and “listen” refer to the ear-shaped portion of the creek next to the cluster of the trees (chest location) (Figure 14, Google Earth). The shape of the ear is one of the reasons why FF “think kids have an advantage”. That portion also resembles two C’s (the quest) and ΩΩ which is the colophon FF uses at the end of his books. Using Google Earth Pro, the ear-shaped portion of the creek has looked the same since 1994 (25 years ago).
“Your effort will be worth the cold.”
By "your effort will be worth the cold", you have to cross Rush Creek to get to the chest location which is on the other side of the creek from the trail. You need to be BOTG to confirm the chest location and retrieve the chest. On page 388 of the Wyoming Surface Water Classification List, Rush Creek (tributary to Meeteetse Creek) is classified as 2C (warmwater fishery) (Figure 15). Knowing this, there is an understanding to FF’s reference to T. S. Eliot's poem, Little Gidding":
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
In your exploration, you will arrive where you started, i.e. start at warm waters (Five Springs Creek) and arrive/end at a different warm water (Rush Creek).
“If you are brave and in the wood,”
“If you are brave” was the only part of the poem I couldn’t figure out. However, the line is not crucial to know the chest location. Being “brave” may refer to being brave enough to trespass. The word “wood” can be defined as and refers to a small cluster of trees. The chest is likely associated with one of the trees (a lodgepole pine…see epilogue below) which is likely marked (2nd blaze?) somewhere “in the wood” once you cross the creek (circled area in Figure 14). The chest is located at the base of the marked tree when you look quickly down from the blaze on the tree.
“I give you title to the gold.”
Unknown and not important in determining the chest location. No one but the finder knows what this means.
Remarks
● The 9 clues are nine named WY landmarks:

  1. Literal WWWH – Five Springs Creek
  2. canyon down – Five Springs Basin
  3. home of Brown – Hoodoo Ranch
  4. no place for the meek – Monster Lake Ranch
  5. no paddle up your creek – Dry Creek
  6. water high – Buffalo Bill Reservoir
  7. if you’ve been wise – Sage Creek
  8. and found the blaze – Cedar Ridge
  9. look quickly down – Rush Creek
FF said he didn’t realize there were 9 clues until after he wrote the poem. Similarly, you won’t know there are 9 clues until you have solved the poem.
● The chest location is on private property which is why nobody will “accidentally stumble” on it. The parcel is owned by Hoggs Black Diamond Cattle LP. A history of the property shows that the Hoggs have owned the parcel for quite some time (even before the chest was supposedly buried). Before the Hoggs, the parcel has been privately owned by multiple owners since its patent in the 1920’s.
● I imagine when FF hid the treasure, he rented a car in Cody, drove south on the 120 highway, and exited off of Meeteetse Creek Road. FF then traveled west through multiple parcels of private property and then south to a clearing past the Spring Creek oil fields. He then parked at this clearing and headed east on a walking trail that runs parallel to Rush Creek toward the chest location. The trail is on relatively green and flat terrain – easy for an 80-year-old man to traverse. The distance between the clearing and the chest location is about ¾ mile. Two round trips would equal three miles. Obviously, the reason why I didn’t get the chest in October was because of trespassing laws. Once I decided to go back and risk it, my search partner and I planned the trip to minimize the chances of getting caught. One of the things we did was reserve a 4x4 truck to drive on this trail rather than hike on it to save time (would’ve saved us approximately an hour).
● At its closest point, the trail FF traversed is about 200 ft from the chest location. FF did say “there isn’t a human trail in very close proximity to where I hid the treasure.” But when asked by someone to define “close proximity” and “very close proximity”, his answer was ambiguous: https://www.altereddimensions.net/2015/forrest-fenn-hidden-treasure-millions-dollars-hidden-gold-jewels-clues-treasure. FF stated that “each ‘close proximity’ is different, relative, and site-specific.” In my opinion, I don’t believe the trail (200 ft) is considered to be in very close proximity to the chest location. The 200-ft searcher likely used this trail and passed by the chest location.
Epilogue
FF has described the spot as such: “If I were standing where the treasure chest it, I’d see trees, I’d see mountains, I’d see animals, I’d smell the wonderful smells of pine needles and pinion nuts, sagebrush, and I know the treasure chest is wet.

  1. The animals FF is referring to are cows belonging to Hoggs Black Diamond Cattle LP (you can zoom in at the supposed parking spot and see many of them).
  2. The chest is wet because it’s located at the base of a tree near and south of the creek.
  3. It was under a canopy of stars in the lush, forested vegetation of the Rocky Mountains”. There are tons of sagebrush surrounding the chest location. Pine trees indigenous to NW Wyoming include the lodgepole, ponderosa, and whitebark. Judging from the chest photo that was posted in June 2020, the chest was likely hidden at the base of a lodgepole pine tree (Pinus contorta) since two-needled fascicles are observed on the ground. The needles and cones of a lodgepole pine possess star-like features (Figure 16).
I've emailed FF several times, but he emailed me back once. On 07/23/2020, I emailed him the following:
"Hello Mr. Fenn,
I just found out that you and the finder decided to reveal the state in which the chest was hidden...Wyoming. Given that my solution is correct, I'm not surprised, but, on behalf of the search community, I would like to thank you. I think it would ease the minds of many.
Hope you and Peggy are doing well.
Sincerely,
XXX"
FF wrote back: "Thanks XXX. f"

2020.09.11 19:02 DTG_Bot Community Focus light.gg

Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/49552
Our focus this week is on a community-created site that boasts tons of features to help you keep track of Destiny’s armor, weapons, Triumphs, and so much more. We recently worked with them and some other API creators to put together a checklist of the Triumphs you should complete before the end of the Season. They’ve been amazing at finding creative ways to utilize the magic of the API to create cool features for the community.
Please meet light.gg.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role in the Destiny community.
Alan: Hello everyone! My name is Alan / afpac and I run the Destiny 2 database and tools site, light.gg. I've been a fan of FPS games all of my life, from playing freeze tag mods back in Quake 1, to everyone's favorite Assault on Zanzibar in Halo 2, all the way to Destiny 2 and other games today. Aside from that, I'm a former Top 50 world raider in World of Warcraft, so when I heard Bungie had built a game that brought aspects of the MMO genre into an FPS game, I was instantly drawn in.
In my personal life, I'm a software architect by day (imagine that), and I'm the proud dad of two adoring huskies and three indifferent cats. I enjoy hiking, biking, bowling, golfing, and traveling when there isn't a plague.
Top 50 raider huh - I was the second-best rogue on Stormrage (no, not really) but I digress. You want to introduce the rest of your team and have them share their favorite subclass and weapons?
Alan: Some may be surprised to hear the team behind the site is actually just me - I write all the code, maintain all the servers, scream when they crash, all of it.
While I dabble in all the classes/subclasses, Warlock is home to me, and the sound of a Nova Bomb murdering a pack of Thrall was once my text message ringtone. While I fondly remember the days of sniping Hobgoblins from miles away with Icebreaker in Vault of Glass, my all-time favorite gun has to be Telesto, with The Recluse coming in a very close second.
Oh… yea I just assumed you had a team backing you up! That is impressive. What are some of the most-used features you built… by yourself?
Alan: The Item Database that lets people see possible rolls on weapons (and suggestions from the community on which perks they should actually use - shout out to @Panda_Pax and @Mercules904) is far and away the most popular feature on the site.
The God Roll Finder, which allows you to specify which perks you'd like and find weapons that can possibly drop with them, is another big hit.
Finally, the Collection Leaderboard – the feature the site was originally built around – still has a vibrant community of players who enjoy grinding out the hardest to achieve Triumphs and collecting the rarest items to climb its ranks.
Those all sound like great resources for Guardians. Any other feature plans you are working on you want to tease out?
Alan: While I have a list as long as my arm of things I'd like to do, the closest thing on the horizon is what I'm internally calling Custom Wishlists. The idea is to allow people to customize the perk suggestions they see on weapon pages to match their own personal taste, share those lists with their friends, and quickly be able to tell which items in their inventory match up with something on their wishlist.
Another goal here is to give a platform to the folks in the community that love spending time testing out weapons to give some guidance to their fellow guardians on what perk combinations are worth giving a shot. These featured members will be able to curate their wishlists over time and share them with the community prominently on item pages.
There are also a few things on the backburner that are about 80% of the way there (loadout theorycrafting tool / PGCR with an absurd number of statistics) that will hopefully see the light of day at some point.
What made you decide to jump into the API community and start light.gg?
Alan: The site really is just a collection of things that I wished existed for Destiny 2 that I couldn't find a good tool for at the time. It started as a Collection Leaderboard shortly after Destiny 2 launch because I wanted to see how my collection measured up against my friends and others in the community. From there, I wanted to really drill down into items, being able to search by insane combinations of criteria at once (ala Wowhead), so I built the Item Database. Then with the advent of random rolls, I wanted to be able to find which weapons could roll with the perks I like, so the God Roll Finder was born.
More or less everything from there has been either something I thought would be useful/cool or a great idea from a member of the community that I've taken a stab at bringing to life.
We always love seeing what you come up with and create. Where all can we find you on the internet?
Alan: https://light.gg is home sweet home.
  • @lightdotgg on Twitter is a great way to find out the Trials rewards or Xur rolls on Friday, as well as stay up to date on the newest site content.
  • We have fledgling YouTube channel, where I've committed to upload more tutorial videos for different features.
  • https://discord.gg/pmHRd5U is the site's Discord server, the best place to argue over rolls or pitch your idea for a new feature on the site.
Anything else you would like to add before we let you go?
Alan: I'd just like to thank everyone for the resounding support they've always shown. The past almost three years have been extremely exciting and humbling. Seeing a personal passion project really take off and become something tens of thousands of people use daily is something I always hoped for but never thought would actually happen. The Destiny 2 community is truly one of the best corners of the internet, and I am proud be a small part of what makes it great.
We’d like to thank Alan for stopping by to tell us all about light.gg and some of the cool features it has. Make sure you check out the site and follow them on social for updates on when new features are added.
We love doing these and will keep them coming. If you have any suggestions on who we should focus on next let us know us on Twitter or our forums.

2020.09.10 10:47 lyridsreign [AETHER][MIDGARDSORMR][FC][LFM] JOIN AZURE INFINITUM!

2020.09.09 23:21 Rigatoni_Man Wokeness Comes To Mayberry, USA

Well, now, the City of Mayberry is a sleeping little southern town where everybody still sleeps with their doors unlocked, families all enjoy great big old Sunday dinners together after church, and the unmarried women folk are all still virgins (for the most part). This here little town is officially runned by Mayor Pike. But while Mr. Pike may be the top elected official, all the real business of running this here charming little community is done by Sheriff Andy Taylor.
Old Andy lives a quiet, redneck-shaman like life in Mayberry. He lives with his boy, little Opie Taylor, and Aunt Bee (who cooks and cleans, and helps keep an eye on that little fucker, Opie). Andy ain’t married or nothing. See, Opie’s momma ended up dying real early on in his life for some unexplained reason that Andy don’t ever want to talk about. But old Andy gots him another fine slam-piece by the name of Helen Crump. Anytime old Helen go to talking about marriage, old Andy give her a hard punch in her cooch, then talk of that shit dies away fer a spell.
I would be remiss if’n I didn’t mention Andy’s partner in crime (crime fighting, that is!): good old Barney Fife! He and Andy run Mayberry together. But they is tighter than that. Old Barney and his bitch, Thelma Lou, swing with Andy and Helen most every gosh darn weekend. They sit and have their Sunday dinners together. Old Andy made Barney the godfather of Opie. And both Andy and Barney gang-ass-rape Otis, the town drunk, when he is passed out in their jail cell. Yessir, old Barney and good old Andy are like two peas in a pod!
So one fine morning came around during a particular scorching summer. Old Andy did not knowd it, but this here day was a’gonna put his faith to the test. Andy was having his breakfast at the eating table, along with Aunt Bee and his boy, Opie, just like he had done did each and ever morning for as long as he had a mind for remembering. Andy was shoveling eggs in his mouth with one hand, and sopping up the egg runs with his piece of brown and buttery toast with his other. Aunt Bee noticed that little Opie had already finished his whole glass of milk, so she asked the boy “Opie, would you like another glass of milk with your breakfast?”
Well, it was just about then that Opie let loose with a pack of swear words 10 miles long. “Go fuck yourself, Aunt Bee!! Not everyone drinks WHITE milk every day. That is just a product of YOUR white privilege!”, said Opie.
Andy quickly looked up at his son, then to Aunt Bee, then back to Opie. Opie just sat there with a defiant look on his fact, while Aunt Bee wore a shocked expression like she had just been stabbed in the pussy. “OPIE!!! HOW DARE YOU USE THOSE WORDS AT THE EATIN’ TABLE….AND IN FRONT OF YOUR OLD AUNT BEE….AND TO YOUR OLD AUNT BEE!!!! GIT YER ASS UP AND MARCH UP TO YOUR ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!”, screamed Andy at the boy.
Opie looked at Andy, paused, and then raised his middle finder at Andy and said “Eat shit and die. You are part of the dying patriarchal power structure and a fucking murderous pig!” As Opie then got up and started heading for the door, he pulled out a blade and said “Not another word, you white racist fuck, or I will cut you!” Andy was floored. All he could do was watch with his mouth open as the boy walked out the front door. It was then that he noticed that Opie was wearing a black tee shirt with “Black Lives Matter” printed on it in white letters, and a shirtless denim jacket with some kind of Nazi-like symbol on it (it said something like “Antifa”, whatever the hell that is), along with a rainbow patch fer some reason.
Poor old Aunt Bee immediately fell over dead from a stroke as soon as Opie left. Andy just finished his coffee as she twitched and grunted on the floor. His mind was on his son. He was thinking that something powerfully evil must have gotten hold of poor Opie’s mind. It were like he had been brainwashed into a cult to believe that up is down and white is black. This put a powerful darkness over Andy’s day. After good old Andy buried Aunt Bee’s body in the cellar, he figured he had best get to work. Maybe he would feel better after talking to old Barney about what happened.
Well sir, as it turned out, old Barney was not worth a shit for support. Of course, what did he expect from a Kermit the frog sounding retard like Barney anyway? Andy had sent Barney away to take out the trash (and to get him out of his hair). When he returned, poor old Andy was slumped over his desk, brooding over a cup of coffee. Barney asked, “Uh, Andy, would it be ok if I knocked off a little early today? I want to go to the demonstration.” Andy asked “What demonstration?”
Barney continued, “Oh Andy, it’s just going to be great! There’s gonna be antifa and BLM marching to City Hall today, RIGHT HERE IN OUR STREETS! Just think about it, Andy! Our little Mayberry here is gonna be ground zero for one of them thar big city riots!!! There’s even rumors that some of them White Supremacists may be here too!!!!”
Old Andy thought, “Holy sheep shit!!!! I got to go see the mayor!! We are going to have to call in some backup from way over thar in Raleigh!!!!!”
Andy ran straight over to Mayor Pike’s office. He secretary tried to stop him from barging into the Mayor’s office, but Andy walked right past her, saying “fuck off, bitch” as he passed. As soon as he walked in to the Mayor’s office, old Mayor Pike jumped up from his fancy leather chair, cock hanging out in hard-on position. “What the fuck?”, thought Andy. Then came a little lady out from under the desk, wiping her chin and looking ever bit like a children who just had his hand caught in the cookie jar.
Then Andy realized who he was looking at. “THELMA LOU?!?!?! What the fuck are you doing blowing the fucking Mayor?!?!?” It was Barney’s girlfriend, and Andy’s swing mate (and occasional pegging buddy). Andy continued “OHHHHHHHH Thelma Lou, why?” She responded “Well, Andy, ya see, it’s like this. I am a super mega slut. I have that nymphomania disease, real bad. Oprah taught me about it.” Andy continued, “Oh, Thelma Lou! Are you telling me that it was you who gave me the pubic lice…. That you caught from old fatfuck Mayor Pike? Cuz I know I didn’t get it from Barney, and we been crossing swords for years!”
Well, things did simmer down eventually, and I got to finally get to talk to old Mayor. I said “Mr. Mayor, I here tell that thar is some kind of new-fangled movement of some sort, maybe political I’m thinking, that is headed fer the streets of Mayberry this here very day!”
Before Andy could get another word out, the Mayor held up his right hand to silence him and started explaining the matter to Andy. “Now, look, Andy. These here BLM and Antifa folks are getting all sorts of tv air time. They are civil rights warriors, or some such nonsense. I don’t rightly know for certain. But, I do know 2 things fer certain. First, if we do not placate these rascals they are going to burn down Mayberry and libel us as a bunch of privileged white supreme racists. Second, wherever these protesters go, they get covered by the national media. Hell, Andy, this here is gonna put the spotlight on Mayberry!!! The money will be pouring into our town!! You know the old swimming hold down by Dead Man Creek? That will become BLM Lake and Estates!!!!!!. We’ll all be rich as hell!!! And not just “ni**er rich”; we’ll be WHITE RICH!!!!!”
So, the Mayor told Andy to get back to his station because the demonstration would be starting soon. Old Andy thought about it, twice or more, and decided that he could be OK with it. It is just a sign of the times, he thought. Although, Andy was still a little perplexed about the Mayor telling him and Barney to stay out of site during the march because the participants hate cops. Oh well, thought Andy.
It twas about that time when old Andy started hearing a huge ruckus outside. He ran to the window and saw the streets full of black masked people fighting, smashing out windows, and through Molotov Cocktails. Old Andy thought that he had better do something fast before this here street demonstration gets out of hand. So he ran to the weapons locker. He was gonna grab him a couple sawed off 12 gauge pumps to dual wield on the street. But instead, Andy found the locker…EMPTY!!!!
Old Barney then came walking into the room. He said, “Oh, hey there Andy! Sounds like the ole BLM demonstration is starting up!! I’ll see ya later!” Andy noticed that Barney was dressed oddly. He was wearing what looked like football pads and a helmet of some sorts. He also had a odd shaped, red symbol on his helmet. “Barney, is that the hammer and sickle on your head?”, asked Andy just as a Molotov Cocktail came crashing through their window and ignited on the floor of the office.
Andy desperately yelled, “Barney, the guns!!!! Where are the fucking guns?!?!?!?!” Barney replied, “Well, now, Andy, promise not to get mad at me, OK? But I cleaned out the long gun cabinet earlier gave them to a couple of freedom fighters who said they needed them. Yep, old LaQwanda Muhammed Jones and Jimmy-Joe “Boom-Boom” Cornegay…. They is two of the finest freedom fighters BLM has, yessiry bob!”
Andy, approaching despair, pulls his .38 Sp revolver and dashes for the window. The crowd has grown. The street is filled wall to wall with punks, and they are setting fires and looting. There is no way he could handle such mayhem by himself and without guns. Andy even sat there and helplessly watched as poor old Floyd the barber was dragged down the road, beaten, raped, and then stomped on the head til his death. Oh, the savagery!!!!
They came a loud bang at the from door of the police station. Andy thought they were breaking in, and he suddenly remembered the Mayor’s admonition to stay out of sight because these assholes hate cops. In fact, Andy could make out a chant the rioters were yelling outside. It had to do with frying bacon. Then something peculiar struck Andy. He raised up and looked out the window next to the door (which had not yet been broken). He saw two things that disturbed him immensely. First, the protesters had stacked a lot of boxes and wood at the front door of the police station to start a fire. Second, it was Opie that was lighting the fire. “MOTHERFUCKER!!!!”, thought Andy.
At that point, Andy yelled out “Barney!!! Barney!!! They are going to burn us down!!! We got to get outa here.” No answer. Andy turned around, and squinted his eyes to see through the smoke. “GODDAMNIT!!!”, Andy said. Barney was setting his desk on fire!!!! Andy yelled out “What are you doing there, Barney?” Barney replied, “Well Andy, when in Rome, Ya know!! We got to nip this racist white privilege shit in the bud. Yep, nip it in the bud!”
Eventually, the BLM/Antifa queers broke into the police station. Both Andy and Barney were unconscious due to smoke inhalation. The fiends dragged both bodies into the street, beat them, raped them, and then kicked them to death.
But don’t worry, as all was not entirely lost. You see, Gomer and Goober’s garage was really a front for a far right white supremacist militia. They quickly assembled a crew, armed themselves to the teeth, and drove down into Mayberry. They took out all the BLM/Antifa fags in 15 minutes. Yes, some lives were lost. But you got to break some eggs to make an omelette, you know? The fact is, these leftist fags are not omnipotent. In fact, that is far from the case. All you have to do is push back with real resistance. These fags are simply spoiled kids, and the BLM fuckers are emotionally charged fuck-ups being used as pawns by the global Marxists. However, if they are on the receiving end of some live ammo being thrown downrange, they will knock off this bullshit and start supporting both America and its police again.

2020.09.09 18:18 DierdraVaal I'm looking for content editors to help kickstart open source Pathfinder 2E data collections!

I have developed an open source data management and publishing system called DnData that allows us to publish Pathfinder 2E feats and spells (and more in the future) in a high structured JSON format. The goal is to provide complete, up-to-date structured data collections that anyone can use for free to make apps or websites for Pathfinder 2e!
What I need now is help entering the data of the 2000+ feats and spells that have been released so far. Will you help me?

Who am I

I'm just a pathfinder player and software developer. In the past I developed an Amazon Alexa skill for Pathfinder 1e. I was inspired to create this project due to the difficulty I had finding a useful data collection for the alexa skill. After a lot of development I've put DnData live over the weekend, and now I need help with data entry.

What help is needed

I need help entering and reviewing the data of all feats and spells that have been released for PF2E into the system. To accomodate this, DnData features an easy to use editing interface and editing and review queues. No programming or technical knowledge is required, though understanding the JSON format can be helpful in rare occasions.
I've already added some 150 spells and feats over the weekend as part, and entering a single spell or feat takes a few minutes at most. If we can get enough people to help, we can have a complete, structured collection of all spells and feats within days! I can't do this alone, so I hope you will help me.
You can find more information, including explanation videos, on our github wiki.

Why not just use AoN or other sites

The existing reference sites do not provide the data in a structured manner, or do not easily share their data at all. DnData not only will make this data available, but make it available in a highly granular, structured manner that is computer-friendly, making it easy for developers to import it into their own systems and use for whatever purpose. The REST endpoint is even set up to facilitate automated checking and updating of your own import process.
This is something not offered by any other system, and something I hope will greatly empower developers to create more Pathfinder 2E apps and websites.

How to sign up

If you're willing to help out, send me an email at [email protected], listing the email address you want to use for your dndata account. You can also send me a direct message here on reddit.

Using DnData as a developer

Of course we do this work to create data collections developers can use. The data is exposed via a REST api endpoint that you can find an explore here: https://dndata-production.herokuapp.com/status/PF2. For more information on how to use DnData as a developer, check out our github wiki!
At the moment, it contains the spells and feats from the following books:
What is still to do:
Hopefully with your help, we can quickly update this to include all books published so far!

What is next

The next step is to finalize the creature data schema, which will allow us to publish a complete collection of all monster data. After that we'll need to see which object types are most desired. Rituals? Magic items? Afflicitions? The system will be expanded until it contains all pathfinder data... provided there are content editors that can help fill in all the details.
I hope you will help create these data collections for the Pathfinder community!

2020.09.07 06:14 Chared_Assassin Can you please be careful with your fireteam while LFGing??

I don't want to sound like I'm having a go at anyone for this though if you are going to use an LFG site like Destiny Fireteam Finder, please close your fireteam once you have finished the activity. I have seen so many requests on those sites of people that have already finished it but still have people joining just because they couldn't be bothered closing the fireteam. I will admit, I am guilty of this myself though if you will use these LFG sites, please don't waste peoples time and just close the damn fireteam. also, while I'm on the topic, do you really need to kick people just because they are 1 powerlevel below what you asked for, come on guys, 1 isn't going to make a difference. Too many players are looking for too specific loadouts. You need to be ready to take people into your fireteam even if they aren't perfect if you want to LFG.
Sorry for complaining like this, I just really need to get this out there

2020.09.06 17:19 lyridsreign [AETHER][MIDGARDSORMR][FC][LFM] JOIN AZURE INFINITUM!

How to Join
If you are interesting in joining Azure Infinitum, please register an application at our site and/or FC in-game. You can also seek any of our Scouts, Lieutenants, Officers, or the Master of Azure Infinitum in-game and ask for an invite. You can find their names on the roster page at our website.
If you read everything on this page, you are awesome, and you should let anyone you talk to who recruits you that you read everything on this page which will greatly expedite your invitation to join.
If you have any questions whatsoever feel free to send a /tell in-game to me or any of our Scouts or Lieutenants listed on our official roster here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/freecompany/9232519973597911137/membe

2020.09.05 00:13 pocarisweats Best Way to Look for Someone In Korea?

Apologies in advance if this is not the subreddit or I am breaking any rules.
I am trying to help my mom find her high school friend. Couple of years ago she called her school and told her they are unable to help. I have looking through their alumni website, Facebook, and Naver.
I have her friends name, the school they attended and the year they graduated. If anyone knows a Korean equivalent of a people finder site, I would greatly appreciate it. Any forums I came across on Naver seem to lead me to an inactive site.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.
